THE BAHAMAS
The Bahamas is the country of the 700 islands, representing a wide rainbow between North and South America. The first European to step here was Columbus and since the 15th century the islands are British colony. Till the middle of the 20th century they have been visited only by the privileged people. It was only after the World War II when they were opened for massive tourism. The capital Nassau, situated on the island of New Providence, has preserved its charm from the colonial past till nowadays.
