The rose festival
01.06 – 06.06
Program Schedule:
 Day 1 Meeting at the Sofia airport. Transfer to the hotel in Sofia. Dinner at Vodenitsata restaurant with a folklore show and fire dancers. Overnight.
Day 2 Breakfast. Departure to the town of Kazanlak, arrival at about 13.00 . Coffee- break. Visit the unique Thracian comb, dating from the IV century B.C. It is under UNESCO protection and is famous for its unique well-preserved murals. Visit of the Ethnographic museum with typical for the town of Kazanlak crafts. Visit of the Koulenska church. Dinner. 21.30 – ceremony for the opening of the Rose Festival 2006. Return to the hotel. Overnight.
 Day 3. Breakfast. Participation in the authentic rite “ Rose picking” with attractive folklore program and acquaintance with some unique products made of roses. 13.00 Picnic with typical Bulgarian meals. 16.00 Participation in the rites “ Rose boiling” and “ Production of “gyul” – rose oil” .Departure to Kazanlak and participation in the competition “ Miss Rose Valley” 2006 and the closing of the International Festival “ Children of the Balkans”. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
 Day 4. Breakfast. Visit of the Historical Museum of Kazanlak, where you can see the latest findings from the Thracian rulers. 10.15 – Visit the Thracian comb of SEVT III. 10.45 – departure to the town of Shipka and visit of the Church with golden cupola. 12.00 – carnival and closing ceremony of the Rose Festival 2006. 14.00 – Lunch. Departure to Sofia. Accommodation at the hotel. Dinner at Alexandria restaurant with typical Bulgarian meals and fire dancers .Overnight.
Day 5 Breakfast. Sightseeing tour of Sofia. In the afternoon – time at leisure. Transfer to Sofia airport. Departure from Bulgaria.
Price per person: 649 euro /for a group of min 20 pax/
